Looking back on June 2023, Rudy enjoyed six day trips by train and visited eleven new stations. Along the way we caught 25 trains and used 3 buses.

We had two big-ish walks planned this hot summer's day but in-between them at Langbank we took time to sit and enjoy this little park nestled between Station Road and the railway station. It doesn't look like many people picnic at the benches here

Tollcross Park is home to a children's farm zoo, winter gardens glass house and a huge rose garden. Rudy's favourite is the little glen walk along a quiet wee burn hidden amongst trees. The rear entrance leading onto the large lawn area is ten minute

Part of a rather silly adventure! After arriving on the first train in the morning from Golf Street we walked back alongside Carnoustie golf course to catch the second train of the day from Golf Street again! A picnic breakfast by the sea at Carno

Balmossie to Monifieth

A "repositioning" walk. After catching both the morning trains from Golf Street we had to walk back to our holiday caravan park. A hot summer morning meant taking a rest to snooze in the long grass by the sea was definitely called for.
