Rudy arrived at 12:33 on a train from Glasgow Queen Street low level.

Coatdyke Station

Coatdyke was opened in 1871 by the Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway. Ten miles east from Glasgow Queen Street the station is in the heart of the Monklands area where Coatbridge and Airdrie meet.

With the completion of the Airdrie–Bathgate rail link in 2010 Coatdyke became part of the fourth train route between Glasgow and Edinburgh with direct trains to both cities.

Coatdyke is just under half an hour from Glasgow Queen Street low level platforms on trains towards Airdrie. The station is unstaffed and there is no step-free access to either platform.
