Baillieston Station

320301 departs Baillieston on its journey towards Whifflet.

Baillieston’s first station was open from 1866 to 1964 when it was just a village miles from Glasgow. By the time this new station was built for the 1993 reopening of the line to passenger trains Baillieston was firmly part of the Glasgow eastward urban sprawl.

Baillieston train station with its step-free ramps zig-zagging up to the footbridge.

Baillieston is an unstaffed station on the Whifflet section of the Argyle Line 8 miles east from Glasgow Central Low Level platforms.

There are no toilet facilities. Access is step-free to platform 2 and via the footbridge with ramps to platform 1.
