Rudy's Railway Adventures

One dog, one railway, one heck of an adventure!

Fort William

Station 54

Monday 3rd February 2020
Arrived at 16:09 on a train from Crianlarich.

Fort William on the West Highland Line got it’s first station in 1894, a grand affair with a double arched stone entrance. In 1975 they demolished it to build a road and replaced it with the existing station building.
The Caledonian Sleeper berths here for most of the day and in Summer the Jacobite Steam train runs to Mallaig.
