Invergowrie
Station 80
Rudy arrived at 15:18 on a train from Dundee. He had a picnic next to the water and then caught the 16:50 departure to Glasgow.
Invergowrie Station
Invergowrie was opened in 1848 by the Dundee and Perth Railway. Suggested for closure in the 1960s and then again in 1985 Rudy is glad it survived as it’s a wonderful little station with an exit gate right out onto a wooded path!
Invergowrie is just five minutes by train from Dundee but in recent years has suffered from an irregular and infrequent timetable. Changes planned for March 2022 may see an improvement to an hourly service.
