The second of two very central Central Belt stations today, heading for home just in time for dinner!

All the way from the west of Glasgow to Armadale for the first of two very central, Central Belt stations this afternoon.

A difficult week to get a station done between the sweltering heatwave and the thunderous rain but we managed!

We almost missed our train to New Cumnock by mixing up the arrival time with the departure - lucky it was a short journey and we turned up what we thought was plenty early!

Our visit to Kirkconnel had us alighting midway along the Glasgow South Western Line on a train to England.

Our breakfast idea fell through so a quick change of plan took us on an earlier train to a completely different place than expected.

A break of journey based on weather and views, Tain ticked both boxes for today.

A third outing from Thurso in one day and our third request stop of the day.

We're calling this one an awkward station. Our second request stop of the day.

A short hop to a request stop meant finding the train guard quick to request our stop!

An early start with a very cold wind blowing - it's a Scottish Summer Holiday!

A "backwards move" to split waiting time for the next train but of course we tick off a new station too!
