Our last-to-visit of the eight stations in Greenock.

An unexpected dry day had us out on a train from Glasgow Queen St low level.

Proper Highland Main Line territory here! Halfway between Perth and Inverness it's a good start for Munro Baggers. Lucky the cafe lets you visit even if you aren't climbing hills.

A second visit to the Largs Branch in less than ten days suggests some organising went on to focus on this route. Nope! Just a very warm July afternoon meant we looked for somewhere that involved shade, water and a beach. Fairlie ticked all the boxes and was a wonderful day out on the Ayrshire Coast.
