Revisiting the Cuningar Loop

A walk at Dalmarnock train station.

When we visited the Cuningar Loop Woodland Park in March 2019 it was so nice I promised myself to come back for another walk around.

Six Years Later

I'm glad to say it's just as nice. There's a new addition of a viewing platform that I wish we'd gone up but grumpy-face Rudy preferred to stay on the ground where all the good smells are.

Repeating ourselves we started by having our picnic lunch at the big open space at the north of the loop and then headed off along the boardwalk by the riverside.

Rudy is very aloof when it comes to making friends, any picnic crumbs are his to tidy up!

One of the things that impressed us on our first visit was the outdoor play areas. Not just swings and a little kids climbing frame there's play for people who may identify as adults. The bouldering walls have a range of difficulty levels.

We were pleseatntly surprised to find that despite the cafe itself being closed in February the wee bothy building seems open to use the toilets all year round now.
