Our walk from Coatdyke went past the railway viaduct which crosses a small burn and park just next to the station.

Centenary Park

Coatdyke Viaduct stretches over this park on the historic boundary between Coatbridge and Airdrie. Centenary Park is named for the 100 year anniversary of Airdrie losing it's village status by becoming a Burgh of Barony in 1821 and electing it's first Town Council.
