Bearsden ✓

Station 109 3rd April 2022

A bus, a walk, and then a two minute train journey checked Bearsden off our list on a Sunday when few trains were running.

From Wikipedia : Bishopbriggs serves Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It is located on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk Line, 3+1⁄4 miles (5.2 km) north of Glasgow Queen Street, but is currently only served by services on the Croy Line.

A very salty station, luckily the weather was better than forecast so no snow & ice for the salt to break up. But still, a very salty station!

Lenzie

From Wikipedia : Lenzie serves Lenzie and Kirkintilloch in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It is located on the Croy Line, 6+1⁄4 miles (10.1 km) northeast of Glasgow Queen Street. Trains on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk Line pass Lenzie by. The station is served by ScotRail.

Milngavie ✓

Station 52 20th January 2020

Rudy usually visits Milngavie by catching the direct bus from the main road near his home. Official visiting of the station by train for his railway challenge meant doubling the journey time by catching a bus in the wrong direction first!

Westerton ✓
