Fauldhouse Railway Station

✓ Station Visit 204

Rudy visited Fauldhouse on the 6th of November 2023 and caught the 15:11 train to Glasgow Central.

Fauldhouse is in the middle of the Shotts Line between Edinburgh & Glasgow and was opened in 1869. The Cleland and Midcalder Railway built the route to serve industrial sites spread across West Lothian and Lanarkshire and it survived the rationalisation closures of the 1960s. The last colliery it served closed down in 1986 so passenger trains now take priority.
