For his walk at Arrochar & Tarbet Rudy took a wee wander through the hillside woods to the north of the station.
With not too much time between our trains we stuck firmly within the wooded hillside near to the station to properly enjoy all the different shades of greens & browns and all the different smells for Rudy to explore.
The paths here are included in the Three Lochs Way long distance walking route as it skirts Cruach Tairbeirt. There are a couple of forestry commission tracks but the best exploring is on the smaller trails through the woods.
Arrochar Alps
There are five Munros and eight Corbetts in the area around Arrochar making it very popular with hill walkers. We liked the views from the lower slopes.
