This was the last photo-op stop on our walk from Falls of Cruachan before turning to head back towards Loch Awe for the train home.
We added Cruachan as the first item in our “huge dams we did not walk across” list in addition to it’s place on the lengthier “hills we did not climb” list.
Cruachan Dam is a “pumped-storage hydroelectric power station” meaning it’s a big (very big!) battery. Rudy isn’t even pretending to listen to that science & engineering story though – not when there’s a view and a thousand smells on the breeze to enjoy!
