East Kilbride Station

Opened as a terminus by the Caledonian Railway in 1868 the line was extended eastward 20 years later but a series of service removals meant that by 1966 it was once again the end of the line.

East Kilbride is a little over half an hour from Glasgow Central with trains terminating here before returning the same way. As of Summer 2022 the route is still worked by diesel services but works towards electrification of the line is underway.

The station is listed as staffed throughout the day and there is step-free access to the platform.
