Clyde Viaduct (Dalmarnock-Rutherglen)
A visit at Dalmarnock train station.
The 2nd Dalmarnock Railway Bridge

This viaduct was built in 1897,widened in 1923 and a hundred years later saw a year-long refurbishment during 2022-23 with most of the work done at night to minimise disruption to trains.

The remains of the first viaduct are visible. Built in 1861 it was only removed in 1969 - for sixty years both were in use to carry trains across the Clyde.

Rudy was in a marching mood and you can tell he only just tolerated the two minute wait until a train passed over for a photo-op.
