The Apiary (Dalwhinnie)
A walk at Dalwhinnie train station.
Dalwhinnie is a traditional starting point for Munro Baggers heading to Ben Alder. The walking route was via a level crossing near the station but that was closed in 2021 due to safety concerns - the alternate route is an extra twenty minutes walk along a dull A-road.
And that's the absolute honest truth reason why we didn't climb Ben Alder and just went to the local cafe instead. The absolute genuine true reason, I promise.
