CalMac to Cumbrae
A big-walk at Largs train station.
Rudy didn't spend much time in Largs for this visit. Instead he did like generations of Glaswegians have done and took the ferry to Millport. The ferry takes less than 10 minutes and departs every fifteen minutes in summer.
Millport is the largest town on Great Cumbrae, home to not much more than a thousand permanent residents. Many more than that visit each weekend in summer though meaning the beaches can get busy on the best days.
Top attraction (other than his ferry trips) for Rudy was getting to pose with the Crocodile Rock that has been smiling in tourist photos since it was first painted in 1913!!
