Victoria Park & Fossil Grove

A walk at Jordanhill train station.

Victoria Park in Glasgow is just ten minutes walk from Jordanhill station. Acquired by the Burgh of Partick in 1887 for Queen Victoria's golden jubilee it's a large formal park with floral displays and a boating pond. It also features the Fossil Grove, a group of fossilized 325 Million year old trees discovered when the park was first laid out. Which was closed when we visited.
