The River Leven (Loch Lomond to the Clyde)
A walk between Balloch and Dalreoch stations.
The signs at Balloch station say "Alight here for Loch Lomond". So we did.
Just a little look at the loch from the southern shore for this visit though. Our walk was along the route of the old railway that led to Balloch Pier station -there are plenty of picnic benches and barbecue grill tables so Rudy was fairly clear on what we should bring next visit!
Exploring the woods right down to the lochside by the River Leven added interest to the walk.
Oh, and then we walked the whole entire six mile length of the River Leven to it's confluence with the Clyde!
