Dalmarnock Regeneration

A visit at Dalmarnock train station.

At Dalmarnock we walked along Springfield Road and then crossed the Clyde at the Cuningar Loop footbridge. This was the area worst affected by the 2014 Commonwealth Games regeneration.
Prior to the 2014 regeneration demolitions this site was a playground and community hub.

Rudy isn't certain about the two faces of Dalmarnock just now, half way through a 20 year regeneration project there seems to be a lot of fences around the new builds suggesting a car-centric plan.

2025 Revisit

Six years later we revisited Dalmarnock and there is a brand new primary school just off Springfield Road, some new houses but also still large waste ground sites where homes were demolished for 2014 and for some reason construction still happening at what were new builds on our last visit!
