Tornagrain & Lochandinty Wood
A walk at Inverness Airport train station.
Tornagrain
Thousands of new houses are in the process of being built at Tornagrain. It still has a very deserted toy-town feel even on the Sunday afternoon that we visited.
The station at Inverness Airport is a new addition to the Inverness - Aberdeen route and the name was chosen for its transport neighbour rather than the local community.
Hopefully they'll start to use it as the town grows - albeit as a park & ride because it's a fairly bleak walk along the new road to get there.
Lochandinty Wood
On the far side of the new village of Tornagrain this is a fairly large woodland that's been set aside with a combination of forestry tracks and smaller wilder paths to choose from.
