Craigellachie National Nature Reserve
A walk at Aviemore train station.
Craigellachie is a hill just west of Aviemore in the Cairngorms. The nature reserve on its slopes includes four marked walking trails but the path network is more extensive than just those. This means you can choose your own route preference for height, views, woods or just round the lochans.

Rudy loves exploring woodland paths so no wonder he looks disappointed that this one stops here!
Rudy is good at asking for treats but not so good at eye-contact 😅

We started this walk by going along the riverside paths from Aviemore rather than the road - far prettier!
