One dog, one railway, one heck of an adventure!

Westerton

Station 29

Tuesday 4th June 2019
Arrived at 13:09 on a train from Anniesland.

Westerton, manages to escape the Glasgow City Council boundary by only a few metres thanks to being considered part of Bearsden / East Dunbartonshire to the north west. Built and opened in 1913 as part of the Westerton Garden Suburb plan to create co-operatively-owned affordable housing for local workers, the station now has three-quarters of a million passenger journeys per year.
