Pollokshields East Station
Opened in 1886 on the Cathcart District Railway, Pollokshields East is typical of the Cathcart Circle stations with a single island platform reached by stairs down from a road bridge.
One of Glasgow’s four Gurdwaras is visible above the station. It’s to the rear of the Tramway arts centre with both being on the site of an old tram depot.
Pollokshields East is just 5 minutes journey from Glasgow Central.
The station should be staffed through the morning but there are no facilities other than waiting shelters. There is no accessible, step-free access to its island platform.
