North Queensferry Station
The original station at North Queensferry was at a pier to connect with the ferry across the Firth of Forth. When the Forth Bridge was opened in 1890 the current station was built on it’s approach from the north.
The original Victorian station building still stands on platform one and is now used by the North Queensferry Heritage Trust as a museum and events space.
The North Queensferry station mural was completed in 1990 to celebrate one hundred years of the Forth Bridge.
The station is home to a small museum dedicated to the history of the Forth Bridge and the railway in Queensferry,
North Queensferry is an unstaffed station on the Fife side of the Forth Bridge.
There are toilets but they’re maintained by the North Queensferry Heritage Trust rather than any railway company.
Separate step-free ramp access is available to both platforms albeit with a stepped footbridge between.
