Rudy's Railway Adventures

One dog, one railway, one heck of an adventure!

Garscadden

Station 64

Saturday 26th September 2020
Arrived at 13:11 on a train from Hyndland.

The railway line has been around since 1882 but Garscadden station was only opened in 1960 as part of the North Clyde Line modernisation project. Previously the closest stations were Scotsounhill to the east and Yoker further to the west. Garscadden gets about 230,000 passengers in recent years so we think it’s proved itself very worthwhile!

It was a beautiful sunny day for taking photographs when we visited, here’s our favourite photos of Garscadden railway station.
