Garrowhill Station
Garrowhill Halt was opened in 1936 while the Garrowhill area next to Ballieston village was being developed as a new private housing estate. It took until 1961 to be upgraded in name to just “Garrowhill”.

Garrowhill is on the Edinburgh to Glasgow (via Airdrie) route and part of the North Clyde Line. The station counted around 470,000 passengers per year before 2020 figures.
Garrowhill is a fifteen minute train journey from Glasgow Queen Street low level platform 9. There is ramped access to both platforms and a small ticket office. The ticket office was closed when we visited despite being within the advertised opening hours.
