Rudy's Railway Adventures

One dog, one railway, one heck of an adventure!

Station 91

Rudy arrived at 12:00 on a train from Edinburgh Waverley and returned on the 15:02 departure.

Dalmeny Station

Just south of the Forth Bridge, Dalmeny was opened in 1890 at the same time as the bridge itself. The station footbridge and north end of platform 2 give views of trains entering the bridge portal, making it a very popular spot for taking photos.

The large booking office building is original but the smaller waiting shelter on the southbound platform is a more modern addition designed to complement the historic station.

Dalmeny is a fifteen minute train journey from Edinburgh Waverley on services towards Fife. Both platforms have step free access, toilets are only available early in the morning while the booking office is open.
