Station 53
Monday 3rd February 2020
Arrived at 12:30 on a train from Glasgow Queen Street.
Crianlarich is on the West Highland Line, undeniably one of the most beautiful railway journeys in the world. The station opened in 1894 but the original buildings were lost to a fire in 1937. There are two routes North from here and trains often split or couple up giving a few minutes to stretch legs if needed. Rudy went for a longer explore to enjoy the mountain views for as long as the weather allowed. The cafe was still closed for winter when we visited but luckily there’s a hotel bar just down the road for refreshments!
