Our second awkward station of the day and a surprisingly long platform for a little served station. Rudy has been on two trains at Barry Links, firstly on the 22nd of June 2019 and then on the 26th of June 2023.

Barry Links, opened in 1851 and is now one of the least used train stations in the UK. In 2016/17 it ranked bottom with only 24 passenger journeys! Set between Monifieth and Carnoustie on the Firth Of Tay it now has two train services in each direction per day. Rudy took the one mile walk along the edge of Carnoustie golf course to Golf Street station.

Barry Links railway station lies south of the village of Barry, west of Carnoustie in Angus, Scotland. It is sited 8 miles 67 chains (14.2 km) from the former Dundee East station, and is on the Dundee to Aberdeen line, between Monifieth and Golf Street. The station is managed by ScotRail, who provide all the services at the station.

In 2016/17, Barry Links was the least used railway station in the UK with just 24 entries and exits.
