Balmossie Railway Station

This was a favourite station. Near the beach and a nice peaceful platform. Peaceful until a train zips past at speed - only four a day stop here! Rudy has been on two trains at Balmossie, firstly on the 22nd of June 2019 and then on the 26th of June 2023.

Balmossie, is just east of Broughty Ferry on the Firth of Tay. Only opened in 1962 as Balmossie Halt it has two short platforms that are staggered rather than directly opposite each other. Rudy ran along the beach from Monifieth to get here just in time for one of only four trains a day that stop here!
