Spending few days in Dundee gave the best opportunity to visit Markinch near the top of the Edinburgh-Dundee line through Fife.

Taking advantage of the Sunday timetable we arrived at Kirkcaldy on a train from Glenrothes - over the top of the Fife Circle.

Viewing windows cut in the fence so everyone can enjoy looking out at the sandy beach and Firth of Forth - this was always going to be a good station visit.

Edinburgh Waverley is Scotland's capital city station and always busy. So busy that we'd been on more than fifty trains here before Rudy got peace & space for our "official visit" selfie!
