A Sunday afternoon visit to Brunstane station in Edinburgh, Eastern Scotland. We arrived at 12:18 on a train from Edinburgh and took some photographs before Rudy went for a walk

More of a wait than a walk for this unusual station visit - the only station in Scotland properly integrated with an airport.

My favourite wee awkward station. If we'd missed our train here it would've been a two day wait until the next one.

Our second awkward station of the day and a surprisingly long platform for a little served station.

This was a favourite station. Near the beach and a nice peaceful platform. Peaceful until a train zips past at speed - only four a day stop here!

Rudy had to have his clever dog hat on for Leuchars - it's the closest train station to St. Andrews University.

A summer's day in April took us along the main Glasgow to Edinburgh route to visit a palace by a loch.

With Alexandra Park being right next to the station this was always going to be a good station to visit.

Trains from Springburn can get you to both the high level and low level of Queen St. We chose the shorter journey time, high-level, option.

An overcast afternoon was fine for a ten minute train slightly north and slightly east from Glasgow city centre.
