When the first day of March feels like Summer it's definitely day trip time.

After a very bracing walk along the promenade and a little café visit it was time to catch our train home.

A blustery afternoon to be visiting the Ayrshire coast!

After a really good walk we took the train home from the busiest of Coatbridge's six stations.

This was our first visit to one of the six stations in Coatbridge. Coatdyke just makes the cut, being on the very eastern edge nearly in Airdrie.

Rudy's second new train station of the day, we walked to Kings Park station from Croftfoot via a park. Which park? King's Park of course!

Just a 16 minute journey from Glasgow Central, Croftfoot was the first of two new stations we visited on the Newton Branch of the Cathcart Circle today.

Rudy arrived twenty minutes early for his train at Kennishead. After our walk through King George V park he had wet paws and a sleepy head. He didn't want to wait, it was time to snooze, the train home should be now. Why wasn't the timetable changed to suit him today?!

Rudy's third station visited on the East Kilbride line but the first on the branch travelling from Glasgow Central at just 12 minutes by train.

A Thursday afternoon visit to Mount Vernon station in Glasgow, West Central Scotland. We caught the 14:45 train to Argyle Street after our walk - and after taking our station selfie of course!

A Monday afternoon visit to Dalmeny station in Edinburgh, Eastern Scotland. We arrived at 12:00 on a train from Edinburgh and took some photographs before Rudy went for a walk
