Rudy's Railway Adventures

One dog, one railway, one heck of an adventure!

Kilmardinny Loch

For his walk at Hillfoot Rudy started by heading to Kilmardinny Loch fifteen minutes from the station.

This was our second loch of the day after the quick visit to St Germains Loch earlier in the afternoon.

Rudy was not thrilled by his second little loch of the day!

Unlike St Germains, Kilmardinny is a proper park loch – there’s good paths all around and a children’s playpark nearby. It’s also a good place to watch planes flying overhead as they go to land at Glasgow Airport.

Kilmardinny has a Gruffalo Trail with wonderfully painted creatures and benches around the loch. The swans are real though!

Rudy investigates one of the benches at Kilmardinny Loch.

But the main thing we found here was a grumpy little terrier wanting a different walk, preferably one with a picnic very soon now please.
