A few minutes walk southwest from Pollokshaws East station is Auldhouse Park. A narrow strip running along the confluence of the White Cart Water and Auldhouse Burn.
The park stretches about half a kilometre (1/3 mile) between the water and Auldhouse Road. There’s a children’s play area and sports pitch at one end while the rest is open lawn with decorative trees.
The park is great for dog walks but Rudy was a little too interested in scavenging for food this afternoon so was kept on the lead for his walk here. I’m not sure how he ended up walking nice on the path with me in the grass though!
A Special Treat!
Both parks that Rudy visited on this adventure day were fairly small and it was a bit of a rushed afternoon around train stations and being a good patient dog meant he deserved a very special treat. Luckily we’d planned to go to his favourite shop before his train home.
He couldn’t choose just one treat and asked for everything from the bottom shelf please.
Auldhouse Park has been looked after by Glasgow City since 1918 along with it’s “annex” of Greenbank Park across Nether Auldhouse Road.
