The Inner Tay Estuary Local Nature Reserve is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest covering several miles of mud flats from Dundee to Newburgh. We just stick to the shoreline near Invergowrie with a little wooded area accessed directly from a gate on the station platform. A favourite is to sit by the boat sheds looking out over the calm water.
