Station Hotel (Alness)

A one night holiday in Alness.

The Station Hotel, Alness

Alness was our chosen place to break the long journey between Aberdeen and Thurso during our second trip to the far Far North Line.

A more natural place to break the journey may have been Inverness but summer season prices were are bit too much for a simple overnight bed to sleep in. There were a few other towns we could have chosen but for a railway adventure, dog-friendly place we opted for Alness and the 1903 built Station Hotel.

Rudy was very happy with the Highland touches of tartan curtains in our room and the tartan carpet in the bar lounge for breakfast.

The clean white sheets weren't meant for him but he is a very cheeky little pup!

We arrived into Alness early enough to check-in and then enjoy and evening walk down to the River Averon.
