So far in 2025, Rudy has enjoyed thirty-three day trips by train and visited twenty-seven new stations. Along the way we caught 120 trains and used 20 buses.

We caught a nice quiet train from Glasgow Queen Street this morning to celebrate Rudy's 1,000th train. No big walk, just a bacon roll and revisiting a favourite place. Invergowrie shore line is always calm & peaceful and the wee woods are accessed

Spending the full day at the beach yesterday wasn't enough so Rudy was back again the next day for another heat wave morning of guarding the blankets & beach towels while the humans enjoyed the water.

The Longest Beach Day

The hottest day ever in Aviemore! Rudy spent the whole day at Loch Morlich Beach next to the cool water or hiding in the shade. Hundreds of other people had the same good idea. The temperature in the town reached 32.2° Celsius

New Cumnock ✓

We almost missed our train to New Cumnock by mixing up the arrival time with the departure - lucky it was a short journey and we turned up what we thought was plenty early!

Our visit to Kirkconnel had us alighting midway along the Glasgow South Western Line on a train to England.
