Stafford Railway Station

Stafford station is in the West Midlands region of England. Rudy is focussing on mostly Scottish Stations to visit but if we ever run out of those then who knows where we'll end up going!

Stafford is a major interchange railway station in Stafford, Staffordshire, England; it is the second busiest in the county, after Stoke-on-Trent. It serves the market and county town, as well as surrounding villages. The station lies on the junction of the Trent Valley line, the Rugby–Birmingham–Stafford line (Birmingham Loop) and the West Coast Main Line; it was also the terminus for the former Stafford–Uttoxeter and Stafford–Shrewsbury lines.

The current brutalist station building was built in 1962 and is the fourth to have existed on this site. The interior of the station was refurbished in 2015, which allowed it to have a new WHSmith store and an improved ticket office.
