Springfield Railway Station

✓ Station Visit 215

Our last "awkward" station in Scotland outside of the Highlands. Only five trains a day call here! Rudy visited Springfield on the 18th of March 2024 arriving at 07:02 on a train from Dundee.

Springfield is the least served station in Fife with very few trains calling here which makes it more awkward to visit than normal. Rudy arrived at 7am and if we missed the next train at 9am it would've been a nine hour wait until the next one! The station was opened in 1847 and is one of very few in Scotland with a change in platform height halfway along.
