Paisley Gilmour Street Railway Station
Rudy visited
Our last Paisley station to tick off is the biggest & busiest. In fact it's the fourth busiest station in Scotland! A grand category B listed building, Paisley Gilmour Street was opened in the summer of 1840. It's always been a joint station at the junction where the Ayrshire Coast and the Inverclyde ports routes connect into Glasgow. The platforms are at first floor level because the eastern end of the station platforms cross over the White Cart Water.
