Partick Railway Station
Rudy has been on forty-six trains to & from Partick! The first was on the 15th of October 2018 and most recently on the 25th of November 2024.

We've used Partick Station about twenty times for changing trains and connecting onto local busses but had never taken time for an "official visit"! The current interchange station was opened in 1979 to merge existing subway and rail stations into one location alongside the local bus station. Partickhill slightly to the north had been open since 1887 and the Merkland Street subway station had been open since 1896. Remains of the platforms for Partickhill can still be seen from the new station. More than 5 Million passengers per year use the interchange between rail, subway & bus - the rail station alone is the sixth busiest in Scotland and underwent a major redesign in 2009 to improve accessibility.

Partick station walks and places to visit.
Partick (Scottish Gaelic: Partaig) is combined National Rail and Glasgow Subway station in the Partick area of Glasgow, Scotland. Along with the adjacent bus station, it forms one of the main transport hubs in Glasgow. As of 2022, it was the fifth-busiest station in Scotland, but was overtaken in 2023. The station is served by Glasgow Subway and ScotRail services and was one of the first to receive bilingual English and Gaelic signs, due to the significant Gaelic-speaking population in the surrounding Partick area.
