A choice of train routes to & from Glasgow from here but we still managed to find the abandoned railway path to arrive at Newton. Rudy visited Newton on the 1st of March 2022 and caught the 14:19 train to Glasgow Central.

A busy railway station in South Lanarkshire where many routes merge. Newton was reduced from four down to two platforms allowing the West Coast Main Line to bypass the station at higher speeds. If you like boxy red brick buildings then this is the station for you!

Newton railway station is a railway station located between the neighbourhoods of Drumsagard, Halfway, Newton and Westburn in the town of Cambuslang (Greater Glasgow), Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and it lies on the Argyle, Cathcart Circle lines as well as being immediately adjacent to the West Coast Main Line (WCML) although it is not served by the latter.
