The best end-of-the-line station was too good to leave as the finisher of our All The Stations. Rudy has been on eight trains to & from Kyle Of Lochalsh! The first was on the 17th of April 2023 and most recently on the 22nd of April 2023.

The railway arrived here in 1897 completing the route from Inverness direct to ferry connections to Lewis and Skye. The Stornoway ferries were moved in 1973 and the Skye boats replaced with a bridge in 1995 meaning train passengers now have to continue by bus ☹ Right on the edge of the loch and overlooked by mountains it's an incredible location for a railway station!
