Coatdyke Railway Station
This was our first visit to one of the six stations in Coatbridge. Coatdyke just makes the cut, being on the very eastern edge nearly in Airdrie. Rudy visited

Coatdyke was opened in 1871 by the Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway. Ten miles east from Glasgow Queen Street the station is in the heart of the Monklands area where Coatbridge and Airdrie meet. With the completion of the Airdrie–Bathgate rail link in 2010 Coatdyke became part of the fourth train route between Glasgow and Edinburgh with direct trains to both cities.
