Rudy has been on three trains to & from Cambuslang! The first was on the 15th of July 2022 and most recently on the 29th of June 2025.

Cambuslang was opened in 1849 just five miles from Glasgow Central. It’s located in the large “bite” that South Lanarkshire takes from Glasgow City Council’s southeast corner. The route here is part of the West Coast Mainline and although no cross-border trains stop here it benefited from electrification of the route in 1974. The original station platform buildings were demolished and replaced by a new ticket office at street level on Main Street, the more leafy entrance at the south side of the station is on North Avenue.

Cambuslang railway station is a railway station which serves the town of Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The station is 5 miles (8 km) south east of Glasgow Central, and is physically located on the West Coast Main Line (WCML) although main line services do not stop here - it is served by local stopping services as part of the Argyle Line to and from Glasgow Central (both Low & High Level). Passenger services are provided by ScotRail on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
