Rudy arrived at 14:00 on a train from Glasgow Central and visited the nearby Eastwood New Cemetery.

Thornliebank Station

Thornliebank in Glasgow’s southside was opened in 1881 by the Busby Railway to connect outlying villages and industry to Glasgow. Large amounts of housing was built here throughout the 20th Century and while Thornliebank is just outside the City of Glasgow council area it’s still very much part of the Greater Glasgow urban sprawl.

Thornliebank is 12 minutes by train from Glasgow Central on services towards East Kilbride. The station is unstaffed and both platforms are accessed by ramps from Thornliebank Road.
