Rudy arrived at 16:58 on a train from Glasgow Central and took a walk to Newlands Park.
Langside Station
Langside was opened in 1894 as part of the Cathcart & District Railway. It was renamed “Langside and Newlands” from 1901 until 1962. At first there was a booking office and a signal box on the island platform but now it’s just the modern shelter, a few bicycle racks and the train planter. The three entrance streets are very different with the busy Langside Drive contrasting with the quiet side street of Tannahill Road and the back lane towards Earlspark Avenue.

Langside is a fifteen minute train journey from Glasgow Central on trains towards Newton as well as Cathcart Circle services. Despite the long ramp from the platform towards Langside Drive it ends at small set of stairs preventing step-free access.
