Newcraighall to Musselburgh

When I planned this walk it was going to be a quick twenty minutes along a cycle path between two railway stations good for a rainy day. It had been saved as that idea for a long time! Since the planning, what was inaccessible "wasteland" fields next

A "let's catch the first train to wherever" plan led us to catch the 13:15 Ardrossan train from Glasgow Central. So did the rain! A very (short) blustery walk along Ardrossan Beach followed before catching "the first train out of here"!

Luggie Water
Rudy on our walk at Greenfaulds.

The Luggie Water runs about 11 miles through North Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire until it meets the River Kelvin at Kirkintilloch. We walked a short section of the river near Greenfaulds in Cumbernauld. We were pleasantly surprised to find
